Student Athlete Showcase
| In the past, Slugger
Fest has offered a Student Athlete Showcase where
players were timed on base running, pitching speeds and
allowed to showcase their skills at different positions.
The past several years, the coaching attendance was less
than desirable. |
| New in 2007, we offered the athletes an opportunity
to 'play' in a game on Friday evening at Rivershore
Sports Complex. Based upon the feedback, this was
a positive change. We will be registering players
differently in 2008 as indicated below. |
| How it will work: |

1. |
Players will
be placed on teams based upon their position of choice. |

2. |
Games will
be an five inning game and will play on
Friday evening at Rivershore
Sports Complex. Players are to wear
their team uniform shirts so as to be
identifiable by any college coaches / scouts
in attendance. |

3. |
Teams will be
made up of only one position player each. Teams will be formed on a first
come first registered basis with a maximum
of 24 teams formed. Selection of
athletes for the showcase games will be
based upon completion of both the
Showcase games
registration form and the
Player Profile
Form being completed. Online submission form
date/time stamps will be used to determine
registration. |

Cost to
participate is $25 and must be paid
using PayPal online or submitting a check to
the indicated address upon selection. No refunds will
be made in the event you do not show up.
However, your information provided will
still be included in the profile "showcase"
book for college coaches. |

5. |
Registrations will also be taken at the
parks on Thursday based upon position availability.
Your profile information may or may not be
available for college coaches in attendance
until Saturday. |
